About the Region

Aldinga Airfield is located approximately 45 minutes south of Adelaide South Australia, in the heart of one of the best wine producing regions in the world. A plethora of quality wineries awaits your arrival. You may taste the many fine flavours from many well known wineries including Chappell Hill, Leconsfield, PennysHill, Fox Creek, D’Arenberg, Wirra Wirra, Hardys and Woodstock.

The historic township of Willunga is only minutes away and includes many boutique eating houses and historic buildings. If you wish to relax on the beach, the Aldinga ,Silver Sands and Port Willunga Beaches offer pristine waters for all forms of water activities.

Kangaroo Island is only a short hop away from YADG (Aldinga Airfield). Fly along the scenic Fleurieu Coast, across the 9nm of Backstairs Passage to Kangaroo Island. Kangaroo Island offers the visitor many spectacular sights and places to stay.

Victor Harbor is a short fly/drive south where you can land at the Goolwa Aerodrome. The South Coast offers Boating, Fishing and magnificent scenery. The Coorong and Lake Alexandrina are at the end of Australia’s greatest river the River Murray and are certainly worth a visit.
